our promise

As we work towards offsetting carbon emissions and achieving PAS2060/ISO14064, we embed responsible and ethical principles into everything we do. We acknowledge that our thinking is progressive and that this shapes our approach to our work. For example, for production completed via our Portuguese plant, we run a dedicated vehicle to our head office on a bi-weekly basis to allow for a centralised UK despatch, with EU orders delivered directly from Portugal using the most effective transport processes.

Not only do we focus on promoting eco-friendly business methods and production options, but we strive to assist our customers in doing so too. We prioritise certified materials – such as OEKO‑TEX yarns, GOTS-certified organic cotton, and GRS upcycled yarns – in the development of select styles. Where these standards apply, the specific product label will indicate the relevant certification, complete with certifier and licence number. Not all of our socks use certified yarns, but for those that do, we ensure full transparency and traceable credentials.

The FSC-approved board used for bespoke packaging and delivery cartons further supports our commitment to responsible sourcing. The avoidance of single-use plastic (such as plastic kimbles used to attach header cards to socks) is made possible by upgrading to sewn-on headers. As standard, our socks are supplied per pair within compostable bags, with export cartons sealed using recycled reinforced kraft tape – eliminating traditional plastic tape entirely.

“It is through these actions that we aim to protect not only your socks but the planet too.”

James Horsley/Distribution.
